Izia Jeen

2024

I was asked to photograph the launch of Izia Jeen's debut EP, "La Légende du Colibri," which took place at the Rocking Chair in Vevey.
One of my concerns was how my APS-C camera would perform in low light. I’m pleased with how well it captured the lighting and satisfied with the overall result of my shots.

VATN

2022

This group project was carried out in a school context. The brief was to create a photographic series with the lake as the main theme.

By the lakeside, we all dispersed in search of images. Personally, I became particularly interested in the lighting by the lake, as no light means no photography. Additionally, I wanted to highlight the beauty of objects we often forget to contemplate.

During the review of the photos, we realized that everyone had photographed very different subjects, and we needed to create some form of consistency in this creative chaos. This became my role, and I proceeded to design a small photo book.

It was a rewarding and stimulating experience to collaborate with my classmates on this project. I was able to develop my layout skills while showcasing our collective photographic work.

Arsenic

2022

This fictitious project was carried out in a school context. The brief was to create a photographic diptych for the visual communication of Arsenic. Rather than finding my idea inside the building, I was inspired by the logo on one of the exterior facades of the venue.

Equipped with my tripod, I set out on a small photographic experiment. By using a long exposure time, I managed to create a zoom effect during the shot. This image particularly inspired me, and I decided to reinterpret the logo using lighting effects, thus evoking the world of the stage.

I appreciated the artistic freedom this project gave me. It allowed me to explore my creativity and play with photographic techniques to showcase the Arsenic logo in an original way.
